2008 Ultramax Multi-sport Series

2008 Current Standings - Updated 5/27/08
The 2008 Ultramax Championship Series Standings have been posted.
2008 Male Series Overall Standings/Points
2008 Female Series Overall Standings/Points
NOTE: These are only preliminary standings. Please remember this is are pretty labor intensive process. Please send any corrections and adjustments using our contact us form. Be sure to give complete correction details. A very special THANKS GOES OUT TO Tony Rigdon for helping up calculate and post the Series totals.
IMPORTANT - You must be a USA Triathlon annual member to be counted in the final series totals. The current standings do not reflect USAT membership status. This will be adjusted as the year goes on.
The Ultramax Multi-sport Series launched in 2004 and
starts over with each new season. The Series is a
competition comprised of four Ultramax owned races, and now three other of Missouri's best events. Participants will be
awarded points at each Ultramax Championship Series Race based on their
individual finish time versus the overall amateur's finish time. Much
like USAT rankings, events in the Series have a multiplier based on
the specific event. These
multipliers will be used to determine each racer's final score. Each
racer's two best scores will be counted, along with 7 bonus points
for each additional race completed.

2008 Ultramax Multi-sport Series Scoring
Participants are awarded points based on their finish time versus the overall amateur's finish time. First, the times are converted to minutes (i.e. a time of 2 hrs 15 minutes and 30 seconds would be converted to 135.50 minutes), then the overall winner's time is divided by each participant's time, and multiplied by 100. This formula will determine each participant's base score.
NOTE: YOU MUST BE AN ANNUAL USAT ANNUAL MEMBER TO BE SCORED IN THE SERIES

Scoring Example:
- Racer A won the race overall with a time of 2:10:45 (130.75 min)
- Racer B finished in 6th place with a time of 2:25:30 (145.50 min)
- Racer B's score: 130.75 / 145.50 X 100 = .89862 base score ...
or 89.62 points
- 89.62 X (the event multiplier) = Final Series Score
Races in the Ultramax Series will have a multiplier based on the specific event.
These multipliers will be used to determine each racer's final score.
