$5,000 Cash Prize Purse in Roots N Blues 10K
 Yes you read that correctly. Ultramax and the Roots N' Blues N' BBQ Festival have partnered to offer a $5,000 cash prize purse in the 10K division of the 2010 Roots N' Blues event. The prize money will be equally distributed to men and women. We also added prize money options for Masters athletes over 40. This is the largest cash prize purse offered in Columbia, MO.
In only the second year, the Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival half marathon has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in the Midwest. A cash prize purse in the 10K Run will set the bar very high and is sure to attract some of the nations best 10K runners. In 2009, 1,200 registrants participated coming from eight different states. This year, Ultramax is expecting over 2,500 this year, and will cap the event at 3,000.

20 Team USA Slots In Each Age Group At The TriSports.com Halfmax National Championship |
Have you ever wanted to be on Team USA and race in the ITU World Championships? If so, your first step is to qualify for the 2010 Halfmax National Championships. Halfmax is the sole qualifying event for the 2011 World Championships. The top 20 in each age group, rolling down to 25th place in each age group at Halfmax will qualify. If you make the cut you will be invited to represent Team USA at the 2011 ITU World Long Course Championships at the Silverman Triathlon. The last time the Long Distance Triathlon World Championships were held in the United States was in 1996 in Muncie, Indiana.

Swimmin In Moonshine Open Water Swim
 The 2nd Annual Swimmin In Moonshine Open Water Swim race will be held on August 28, 2010 at the incredibly popular Moonshine Beach in Branson, MO. This race is part of the Ultramax Championship Series and will feature three swim distances. You will race from the same beach as Ironman 70.3 Branson. Need a little warm up before Ironman 70.3 Branson? Here is your chance! Maybe you're just looking to do your first open water swim race.

The Starting Block Presents A New Thanksgiving Day Charity Race
 We are extremely proud to present Columbia’s first annual Thanksgiving Day Run. The event will start and finish at Rock Bridge High School.
Thanksgiving Day runs are traditionally some of the largest events in the nation. The Starting Block and Ultramax Events have plans to grow this event into one of the largest and certainly one of the most charity impacting events in the region.
The event has a very unique charity feature. We have selected six charities for the event. A significant portion of each entry fee will go directly to the charity chosen by the participant at the time of registration. Each charity will develope it’s own community outreach approach that will deliver the most impact. It's that simple, the more entries each charity recruits, the bigger our donation. The website launch is planned for August 2010. Stay Tuned!
