Ultramax Nation News - February 2010

The Ultramax Nation is getting ready for the 2010 season. Our team has a mission to expand just about everything we do in the world of multi sport. Many of our events will feature new sublimated event shirts, creative new finisher medals and gifts and even bigger finish line celebrations. We hope you are making plans to join us at one, two or more of the great events that are now part of the expanded Ultramax Championship Series.

Welcome to the newest event in the Ultramax Championship Series. The Topeka TinMan is under new production management. Ultramax and Sherpa Sports (Ironman Kansas 70.3) have teamed up and taken over the management of the Topeka TinMan Triathlon. Can you believe this event will be 30 years old this year? The TinMan is one of the longest running triathlons in the nation. We are both thrilled to be part of this event and together we plan to take the event to a level not seen before!

The event features intermediate and sprint distance triathlons along with a short course duathlon. The event has something for everyone!

The Off-Road Team Triathlon is coming next week. This is definitely triathlon with a twist. The race will take place on the gravel roads, lakes and trails inside Innsbrook Resort. You will race as 2-person teams (Male - Female - Coed). We have over 80 Teams signed up! It might be the most fun you will have all season long. We have great finisher medals, long sleeve custom shirts, catered post race food, bonfire at the finish line and a crazy finish to both the Adventure Race and Team Triathlon that you don't want to miss! We have waived the late fee, and there is still time to register for this inaugural event. See you March 6th.

The 2010 TriZou Triathlon and DuZou Duathlon is filling fast. The event is on record pace to fill early this year. The event limit is 850.

New for 2010 - The Starting Block will host an expanded expo on Saturday during packet pickup. We have invited Newton Running and a host of other vendors. We are bringing sale items from both our stores to this event. It will be a great time to get some great deals.

New for 2010 - We are planning to introduce a new fully sublimated event shirt for participants that are registered 45 days before the event. That is March 18th. Don't miss that deadline.
