The Kansas City Triathlon will be held at scenic Longview Lake in Lee’s Summit, Missouri on Sunday, May 31, 2009 and is forecast to quickly become the largest triathlon in the area. There are many exciting activities that will make this event special and unique as it will cater to the participating athletes, families and friends like none other in the Kansas City metro area. We hosted two runs this year at our Columbia and Springfield, Missouri Starting Block store locations. The run was a gender handicap start format. The women were given a 3 minute lead and the men had to run them down. The men were victorious at both locations by only a few "seconds". Next year, we average the loss difference and line them up again. The results are posted for each race. Our first annual Resolution Run series is complete.
